Beauty facts. How to take care of your facial skin

Are you certainly sure that you know how to properly take care of your facial skin? You must know that sometimes even hypoallergenic products can cause irritations and worsen your skin condition. Check out what components of cosmetics should be avoided and what should be included in your daily routine.

First and foremost, avoid products containing paraffin.

Paraffin, vaseline, mineral oils, liquid paraffin are all the substances that can (but not always) harm your facial skin. Beside the fact that they provide protective and hydrating effects, they are also comedogenic. What does it mean? They cause the appearance of pimples, clog pores, irritate skin and block hair follicles. Even though, paraffin is still one of the most popular ingredients used in the production of cosmetics, you should use it with caution. Where to find it? In creams, lotions and all other kinds of products you use on daily basis.

Secondly, cleanse your face with water.

Hydrating and cleansing are the two equally important steps in your skin care. You might have no idea how useful water can be. Whether it is mineral or boiled, it is still extremely essential in your daily care. For your evening routine, use cleansing foams or emulsions that can be easily rinsed with warm water. In the morning, on the other hand, you do not need such intense cleansing. You might want to use only a fruity toner, hydrolate or a mist and your complexion will be flawless.

Thirdly, say no to detergents!

Detergents are all substances with highly cleaning and drying effects. They are included in many cosmetics among which, we can distinguish the following substances: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, and some of the alcohols. How to check how your skin reacts to detergents? If after cleaning your face in the morning or evening, you notice dry skin or feel itching, it is certain that is was irritated by a detergent. What to do then? Immediately change it to a milder cosmetic, designed for sensitive skin care.

Fourthly, under eye cream.

The skin around your eyes is very delicate, that is why it is so important to take an extra care of it. If you have bags and dark circles under the eyes, dry eyelids and you noticed crow’s feet in the outer corners, it is high time to reached for the eye cream. Such cosmetics should contain moisturising ingredients and provide cooling and soothing effects. Massaging the skin around the eyes with your fingertips will improve its firmness and stimulate blood circulation.

Last but not least, thorough make-up removal.

Removing your make-up thoroughly every day, has a significant meaning for your skin. If you do not do it carefully enough or even avoid this step, soon, you will encounter more and more facial skin problems. Sleeping with all the products on, causes acne, blackheads, irritation. What is more, it also makes your linen dirty which leads to accumulating bacteria that will worsen your overall condition. Furthermore, make-up removal is one of the evening routine steps that cannot be ignored. All the nutrients contained in the cosmetics will be absorbed better and much faster on a freshly cleansed face. Thanks to this, when you wake up, your complexion will be flawless.
