Four brilliant homemade facial masks for all skin types

All homemade cosmetics are undoubtedly unbeatable. Mostly because their components are strictly controlled by ourselves and they do not contain any unwanted, harmful or artificial ingredients. No silicones, parabens and other comedogenic substances will occur. What is more, in a month, you are able to try out a variety of masks and choose the one that your skin needs the most. Whereas a drugstore mask that will be unsuitable for you, will simply take up space in your bathroom.

In addition, masks prepared at home are also cheaper. They help to save your time and money. The process of preparation is quick and the ingredients can be found in your kitchen. Try out one of the recipes listed below.

1. Flaxseed mask

This mask perfectly cleanses the pores and all impurities from the skin surface. Additionally, it softens, smooths and eases irritations. The skin is clean and supple.

Pour a glass of water over a tablespoon of flaxseed. Boil until you see a gel-like consistency. Leave aside to cool down. Apply a generous amount to your face. If the mask is too runny, you might cover your face with a gauze or lignin. After about twenty minutes rinse of with cool water.

2. Smoothing mask with oatmeal and honey

Mix a tablespoon of ground oatmeal with a tablespoon of warmed up honey and one egg yolk. Apply the blend to your face and neckline. After about ten minutes rinse it of, firstly, with warm then with cold water. Boiled porridge oats work well also as a scrub.

3. Herbal mask for slack skin

Pour boiling water over a tablespoon of ground rosemary and ground fennel and infuse for a few minutes, covered. There should not be too much water – just enough to turn the brewed herbs into a mushy blend, easy to distribute on the face. Apply the mask on your face, when the brew is still warm. Keep it on for about 20 minutes, then wash it off with warm, then cold water.

4. Potato mask for pale and tired skin

Mash freshly cooked, still-warm potato and mix it with a spoon of warm milk. Apply the blend on your facial skin. Do it quickly before it cools down too much. Hold the mix on the face for about 15 minutes, then wash it with warm and then cold water.
